Questions Pomona Homeowners Ask Before They Call
Answers for Pomona homeowners: how to reach us, what we won't touch, the jobs we take on, and who shows up at your door. Straight talk, no fluff.
01Do you come out the same day?
Depends on the day's schedule and where you are. If you're close to our shop on Corporate Center Dr, we can usually work you in faster than a call from farther out. Call and tell us what the door is doing - a spring that's snapped moves up the list faster than a noisy opener.
02Can you fix a door instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. A lot of houses in this area have doors from the 1960s and 70s still on their original hardware, and plenty of that is repairable. We'll tell you honestly if a repair doesn't make sense versus replacement - we don't push replacement just because it's the bigger ticket.
03Do you work on gates?
No. Gates use a different motor and track system than garage doors, and that's not a service we offer. We'd rather say so than take a job outside what we actually do well.
04Why does my opener act up in the afternoon heat?
This area sits in a moderate heat climate band, and heat affects garage door hardware more than most people realize - metal expands, lubricant thins, and exposed opener circuit boards can misfire on hot days. If the problem is only in the afternoon, heat is a likely cause.
05How far do you travel for jobs?
We cover Pomona and nearby communities out to roughly 15 miles, including Montclair, La Verne, Diamond Bar, Claremont, Walnut, and Covina. If you're further out, call and ask - it depends on the day's schedule.
How to Reach Us
Call 1 (909) 247-3740. That's the number that rings the shop directly, not a dispatch center reading from a script. Our address is 716 Corporate Center Dr, Pomona, CA 91768, and that's where the trucks stage out of each morning before heading to jobs around town.
If you're calling about a door that's stuck shut, tell us that up front so we can figure out whether it's a spring, a cable, or an opener problem before anyone drives out. If you're in one of the nearby communities - say so when you call. Distance changes how fast we can get someone moving.
We don't run a 24-hour emergency line, so if you call after hours, leave a message with your address and the door problem and we'll get back to you when the shop opens. That's the honest limitation here - we're not a round-the-clock operation, and we'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
Call and tell us what it’s doing
(909) 247-3740 - describe the symptom and roughly where you are.
Or send it in writing
Use the request form if it’s easier than talking.
We diagnose on site
A technician tests the door under power and by hand before anything is quoted or replaced.
You approve the plan
You hear what failed and what it takes to fix it - the work starts only after that.
What We Will Not Do
We don't touch gates
If you've got an automatic driveway gate with its own motor and track system, that's a different trade and a different kind of hardware, and we'd rather point you elsewhere than guess at a job we don't do regularly. We also won't quote a repair over the phone sight unseen on anything beyond a basic part swap. A broken spring is a broken spring, but if you tell us the door is "making a grinding noise" we genuinely can't price that without looking at the track, the rollers, and the opener gear - too many of those turn out to be something else once we're standing in front of it.
We don't sell smart-home garage integrations as a standalone service
If your opener needs replacing and you want a wifi-capable unit, we'll install one, but we're not coming out just to add an app to a door that otherwise works fine. And we won't tell you to replace a door that can be fixed just because replacement pays more. Plenty of houses in this area still have doors from the 1960s and 70s on original hardware, and a lot of those are worth repairing rather than tearing out.

The Work We Take On
Most of what we see is tied to the age of the housing stock here. Homes in this service area were mostly built between 1951 and 2007, with a lot of the stock dating to the 1960s and 70s across the 45 or so named communities we cover. That means original torsion springs, older roller tracks, and openers that were installed decades after the house itself, often as a retrofit. We work on all of it - spring replacement, cable repair, track realignment, roller swaps, opener repair and installation, and full door replacement when a door's past the point of fixing.
We also deal with the heat. This area sits in a moderate heat climate band, and that matters for garage doors more than people expect - metal expands, lubricant breaks down faster, and openers with exposed circuit boards can struggle on the hottest days. If your opener's been cutting out only in the afternoon, that's often heat-related, not a dead unit.
We work on single doors, double doors, insulated and non-insulated panels, and both chain-drive and belt-drive openers. If your door uses hardware old enough that parts need to be sourced rather than pulled off a shelf, we'll tell you that up front rather than let a job drag.
Who Turns Up
Someone from the shop at 716 Corporate Center Dr comes to your door
Not a subcontractor pulled from a general marketplace app. They'll have the part on the truck if it's a common one, which covers most spring and cable jobs given how uniform the hardware is across homes built in this area's main construction era.
They'll look at the actual door before quoting anything beyond the basics, explain what's wrong in plain terms
And give you a number before starting work. If the fix turns out to be bigger than what you called about, they'll stop and tell you rather than run up a bill.
We serve homeowners throughout the Pomona area and into the nearby communities out to roughly a 15-mile radius
Places like Walnut, Covina, Glendora, and Chino Hills are all within that range. If you're further out, call and ask; it depends on the day and what else is on the schedule.
